What is epoxy terrazzo?
Reference photographs. They show the material and the finish; they are not photographs of goods we made, and the colour on screen is not a colour-match.
The figures, and where each one comes from
| Property | Published range | Measured by us |
|---|---|---|
| Total thickness | 3-6 mm | not tested |
| Build-up over substrate | thin, often under 10 mm | not tested |
| Chemical resistance | high for the resin family | not tested |
| Resealing | not the way cement terrazzo reseals | not tested |
Why the processes are not interchangeable
The thickness is not a preference, it is what the process allows. There is no cement matrix to build up and cure, so the material is a coating rather than a floor. That is the same property that gives it the chemical resistance and that removes the repairability.
What these figures are, and what they are not
Published ranges only. We have not tested an epoxy floor, and the thickness figure is the one most often quoted without saying which of the two ways it was laid. This site will not publish our own figure until we have one.
If you are specifying this
These are the forms we actually supply for this question, with production photographs where we have them:
