Cut-to-size threshold or sill piece.
A threshold carries more than the finish does. It is the joint between two floors that move at different rates, and it is where water crosses at an exterior door, so the piece is usually set on a bed rather than fixed to one floor alone. The width is a decision about movement, not about looks: too narrow and the two floors touch through it, too wide and it becomes a trip edge.

No size, profile or length is published here. ⛔ Movement joints and the spacing behind a threshold are covered on the answer page for movement joints with the standards named there; ⛔ no figure from that page is repeated here, because a spacing is a property of the substrate and the joint rather than of the stone.
