Indicative priceQuoted per linear metre, priced on the tread width and the nosing profile, with the number of individual treads counted because a half-landing is a different cutting job from a straight flight.

Applied over an existing stringer where the flight is already built and re-cutting it is not an option. Thinness here is a fitting problem: the tread has to land on the riser without the nosing projecting into the walking line, and a thick tread changes the pitch of the first and last step. Matt or honed finish only — a polished tread is a slip risk when wet and we will not quote one for an outdoor flight. The nosing profile and the going are the decision variables, not the thickness.

Thickness and weight figures: NTMA terrazzo systems table (thickness and weight by system). Source. Our weight is quoted for the panel as supplied and moves with the aggregate you choose, so a figure for your mix is a figure we send you, not one this table can hold.

Made to order against a batch. This is our thin series and we build it to the thickness, format and finish you specify, rather than holding it in stock. The thickness shown is the range we supply in this form; the finished panel is cut to your layout, so the format is a maximum and the offcut depends on your drawing.

How this is quoted

Quoted per linear metre, priced on the tread width and the nosing profile, with the number of individual treads counted because a half-landing is a different cutting job from a straight flight.

Quoted against thickness, format, finish, quantity and the substrate it has to meet. Tell us the form, the thickness and the area and we will send the relevant pages back with the price and the lead time on the same message.

The pictures on this page

Reference images. These photographs illustrate the material and the finish. They are not photographs of goods we made, and the colour on screen is not a colour-match. We quote against a real batch, so ask for a sample before you specify.
